Students and parents need to familiarize themselves with Cal Grants. Free tuition and fees for those who are eligible based upon a student’s sophomore and junior year grades, family size, and parent income.
Cal Grants apply to UC, CSU, California community colleges - not out of state. They do not pay for full tuition at CA privates but they help.
Encourage your student, wherever they go - to talk to their professors, ask for help - professors want to help! If afraid to reach out to a professor, take a friend who is in the same class.
Get a job on campus!
Hang in there parents! Hang in there students! You can do this!
